THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Isolated lightning storms today into this afternoon and early
evening will be capable of cloud to ground lightning strikes, wind
gusts up to 40mph, and brief heavy rainfall.

.EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT...
Heat indices this afternoon are forecast to reach the upper 90s to
low 100s. Practice heat safety if outdoors by taking breaks in
air-conditioned spaces and staying hydrated.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Isolated lightning storms through this afternoon and evening will
be capable of producing wind gusts around 34 knots or greater
while gradually pushing offshore.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.
Near record high temperatures are forecast Saturday with heat
indices reaching well into the 100s. An increased risk for heat-
related illness exists on Saturday as a result. Practice heat
safety if planning to be outdoors by taking frequent breaks in
air-conditioned spaces and staying hydrated.

Coverage of lightning storms will increase on Saturday and Sunday,
ahead of an approaching cold front. A few storms could become
strong to marginally severe, especially on Sunday.

Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight.

...Hot and Humid Conditions Continue Through the Weekend...
...Isolated Thunderstorms Possible Today...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Excessive Heat: Heat indices of 100 to 107 degrees are forecast
across most of the area this afternoon.

Thunderstorms: Isolated thunderstorms are possible this afternoon
and evening near the east coast. A strong storm cannot be ruled out,
and would be capable of producing gusty winds, frequent lightning,
and heavy rain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Heat indices of 100 to 105 degrees will continue across most of the
area throughout the weekend, with values up to 110 degrees possible
on Saturday. Heat indices will finally begin to drop below 100 next
week.

Thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon through the weekend
and into next week. Some of the stronger storms could contain heavy
rain, gusty winds, small hail, and frequent lightning.

Weather spotters are encouraged to report high wind, hail, and
flooding to the National Weather Service forecast office in Miami.
